Polish star Iga Świątek clinched the Cincinnati Masters (WTA 1000) crown after defeating Italy’s Jasmine Paolini in the final early Tuesday, winning in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.
Świątek needed one hour and 49 minutes to seal the victory, capturing the 24th title of her career and her 11th WTA 1000 trophy. She now edges closer to the record held by Serena Williams, who has 13 Masters titles to her name.
