A bomb exploded near Freedom Bridge in the vicinity of the Four Seasons Hotel in central Damascus on Sunday, according to local media.

Preliminary reports confirmed that no casualties were recorded, while ambulances and civil defense teams rushed to the scene.

The explosion coincided with preparations for a ceremony related to a politically significant anniversary in the country.
