A member of Syria’s internal security forces was killed in a suicide attack attributed to ISIS at a checkpoint in Al-Mayadin, eastern Syria. Security forces killed one attacker before another detonated himself.

The attack followed the death of an Iraqi ISIS commander in Idlib during an international coalition operation.
