Syrian Information Minister Hamza Al-Mustafa announced the signing of a political cooperation declaration between Syria and the international coalition against the Islamic State, without including any military components at this stage.
The announcement came during Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa’s visit to Washington and his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, where Al-Sharaa affirmed that his country seeks to build new strategic relations with Washington based on political and economic cooperation, denying any intention to join the Abraham Accords.
