Syrian Finance Minister Mohammad Yassar Brinya announced on Tuesday that a delegation of French business leaders and representatives from major French companies is scheduled to visit Syria on October 1.

The announcement was made via a post on Brinya’s official LinkedIn account following his meeting in Damascus with Jean-Baptiste Fevre, chargé d’affaires of the French Embassy, according to the state-run Syrian news agency SANA.

Brinya discussed with Fevre, accompanied by Syria and Lebanon’s Economic Affairs Minister, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the financial sector, including technical support and capacity-building opportunities.
