Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa will visit Moscow on Wednesday for talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, according to official sources.

Discussions will focus on military cooperation and the future of Russia’s presence at the Latakia airbase and Tartus naval base.

Moscow had postponed the planned Arab-Russian summit this week due to developments in Gaza. The visit underscores Damascus’s efforts to strengthen its strategic alliance with Russia.
