Taliban Says It Foiled Attack Targeting ‘Morality Police’ in Faryab Province

Afghanistan’s Taliban government said on Monday it had foiled an attack targeting the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, known as the “morality police,” in the northern province of Faryab.

The ministry said that at around 6 p.m. local time (13:30 GMT) on Sunday, security forces stopped an attacker who was attempting to strike the directorate in the city of Maymana before reaching his target. It did not specify the nature of the attack, the fate of the assailant, or whether there were any casualties.

The Afghanistan Freedom Front, an anti-Taliban armed group, claimed responsibility for the incident, saying two Taliban members were killed and two others wounded.

If you want a shorter or more condensed version, I can prepare one too.
