The Southern Transitional Council on Wednesday held Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi and the Islah party responsible for developments at Mukalla port, describing unilateral decisions as a dangerous gamble with the country’s future.

The council rejected the declaration of emergency and restrictions imposed on the south, stressing that it does not recognize any decisions made outside a framework of consensus.

On the ground, Hadramout Protection Forces took control of the Nahb military camp, amid warnings of potential military escalation that could threaten the stability of the governorate.
