Thousands of Indigenous people protested in Brazil’s capital, Brasília, as part of the “Free Land Camp” demonstration, demanding recognition of their lands ahead of upcoming elections.
Around 7,000 participants from more than 200 groups marched toward parliament and the Supreme Court.
Movement leaders warned that delays in land demarcation threaten their constitutional rights.
Despite recent recognition of some lands, many claims remain unresolved amid pressure from agricultural and mining groups.
