The Ukrainian Ground Forces reported on Wednesday that three of its soldiers were killed and 18 others wounded following a Russian missile strike on a military training facility.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the military said the strike targeted one of its training units despite security precautions being in place. “Unfortunately, it was not possible to fully prevent casualties,” the statement read.

The attack comes amid an intensification of Russian strikes on Ukrainian military sites and infrastructure, as the conflict continues to escalate across multiple frontlines.
