At least 13 people were killed and 98 others injured when a train carrying about 250 passengers crashed on Sunday in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, authorities said.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals, while investigations were under way to determine the cause of the accident.
