U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday signed a new agreement to boost technological cooperation between Washington and London, covering fields such as artificial intelligence and nuclear energy.

The signing took place during Trump’s state visit to the United Kingdom, at an event held at Chequers, the prime minister’s country residence.

“This agreement will strengthen collaboration between public authorities, academia, and the private sector in areas such as artificial intelligence,” Trump said, calling the deal a major step forward in the two nations’ strategic partnership.
