US President Donald Trump said on Monday that any country engaging in trade with Iran will be subject to a 25% tariff on all transactions with the United States.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the measure would take effect immediately, stating that “any country that trades with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a 25% tariff on all transactions with the United States.”

He added that the decision is “final and comprehensive,” marking a further tightening of Washington’s policy toward Tehran and its trading partners.
