Iranian state television reported on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to Iran’s conditions to end the war, while Iran’s Tasnim News Agency said further details on the ceasefire decision will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, Trump confirmed that he has agreed to suspend bombing and military strikes against Iran for two weeks, describing the move as a “ceasefire from both sides.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the decision followed talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir, who urged him not to use destructive force against Iran.
He added that the suspension is conditional on Iran agreeing to the “full, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz,” noting that the U.S. has received a 10-point proposal from Iran, which he described as “a workable basis for negotiation.”
The developments signal a potential temporary de-escalation, with further details expected from the Iranian side regarding the agreement.
