U.S. President Donald Trump announced Friday that the 2026 G20 Summit will take place in Miami, Florida, at the Trump National Doral Miami resort, a property he owns.
“I am pleased to announce that the 2026 G20 Summit will be hosted in one of our country’s greatest cities, the beautiful city of Miami, Florida,” Trump said, stressing that he and his family would “not profit from this in any way.” He added that the venue was “the best location” for the gathering.
During his first term (2017–2021), Trump had previously attempted to host the G7 Summit at the same venue, a plan that sparked controversy at the time.
