U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States represents “the engine of the global economy,” arguing that Europe “is not heading in the right direction,” in a speech delivered during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Trump reiterated his desire to annex Greenland but stressed that he “will not use military force” to achieve that goal.

He pointed to what he described as an “economic renaissance” after a year back in the White House, announcing the attraction of nearly $18 trillion in investments and affirming U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence, while warning of the dangers of its misuse.
