U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the details of a potential U.S. agreement regarding Greenland are still under negotiation, a day after he walked back threats to impose new tariffs and ruled out the use of force to take control of the Danish autonomous territory, according to Reuters.
Speaking in an interview with Fox Business Network from Davos, where he is attending the World Economic Forum, Trump said: “It’s being negotiated now, the details of it. But essentially, it’s full control, with no end and no time limit.”
He added: “The details are under negotiation at the moment, but at its core, it’s about full access. There is no end, and there is no time frame.”
