U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he is shortening the deadline previously set for Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine, saying he will now allow only 10 to 20 days for a resolution instead of the initial 50-day timeframe.

Speaking to reporters in Turnberry, Scotland, after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump said, “I’m setting a new final deadline — around 10 or 20 days from today. There’s no need to wait. We’re not seeing any progress.”

Trump’s remarks come amid growing international pressure for a swift resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, which has dragged on for over two years with no clear path toward peace.
