US President Donald Trump said the decision to end the ongoing war with Iran will be made in coordination with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while keeping the final say on the timing of ending the operations.
In a phone interview with a Hebrew newspaper, Trump said the decision would be made in consultation with Netanyahu.
“I think it’s a mutual decision… we talk constantly, and I will make the decision at the appropriate time,” he said.
Trump noted that Netanyahu would have input on when the war should end but stressed that the final decision would ultimately rest with him.
He added that the United States and Israel worked together against Iran, saying: “Iran would have destroyed Israel and everything around it… we worked together and destroyed a state that wanted to destroy Israel.”
