U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he wants to reach a peace agreement with Iran, months after the United States and Israel carried out joint strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities earlier this year.

Speaking before the Israeli Knesset in Tel Aviv, Trump said, “It would be wonderful to reach a peace deal. Wouldn’t you like that? Wouldn’t that be beautiful? I think they (the Iranians) want it too,” according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
