U.S. President Donald Trump said early on Saturday he had signed an order imposing a 10% tariff on all countries, effective immediately.

“I am honored to have just signed in the Oval Office a global 10% tariff on all countries,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

“The global tariff will take effect immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he added.

The White House did not immediately provide further details on the scope of the measure or which goods would be affected.
