The World Bank and the Tunisian government signed on Tuesday a financing agreement worth $430 million to support a five-year program aimed at enhancing the country’s energy security, efficiency, and governance.

According to a statement by the World Bank, the program seeks to “support the Tunisian government’s efforts to ensure sustainable, reliable, and affordable electricity services by accelerating the development of renewable energy projects.”
