Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafati, summoned the Dutch Ambassador to Tunisia, Josephine Frantzen, on Thursday morning at the ministry’s headquarters to deliver a strong protest over what was considered a breach of diplomatic norms. During the meeting, the minister emphasized the need to respect diplomatic protocols and refrain from any form of interference in Tunisia’s internal affairs, according to a statement issued by the ministry.
The President of the Republic had tasked the foreign minister on Thursday, as shown in a video released by the presidency, with delivering this strong protest to a representative of a foreign country accredited in Tunisia who had allegedly failed to respect diplomatic norms.
