Tunisian swimmer Ahmed Jwedi clinched the gold medal in the men’s 1500-meter freestyle event on Monday at the World Swimming Championships held in Singapore.
Jwedi finished with an impressive time of 14:34.41, edging out Germany’s Sven Schwarz, who secured the silver medal. American Bobby Finke, the current world record holder in the event, took bronze.
This victory marks Jwedi’s second gold medal at the championship, following his earlier triumph in the 800-meter freestyle, underscoring his dominance in long-distance swimming.
