Tunisian authorities announced on Monday that the country’s trade deficit widened to $7.54 billion in 2025, up from $6.54 billion recorded in 2024, according to official data released by the National Institute of Statistics.
The institute said that Tunisia’s exports, measured at current prices, reached 63.695 billion dinars (about $22 billion) in 2025, compared with 62 billion dinars ($21.45 billion) a year earlier.
Imports, meanwhile, increased to 85.49 billion dinars ($29.58 billion) in 2025, up from 81 billion dinars ($28 billion) in 2024, contributing to the widening trade gap.
