Turkey Explores Potential Defense Pact with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Thursday that Turkey is in talks about a possible defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, emphasizing that no deal has been signed yet.

Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul, Fidan highlighted the importance of strengthening regional cooperation and trust, noting that regional issues can be resolved if the involved countries are “confident in one another.”

Earlier, Turkish officials in security and diplomatic circles told Al Jazeera that Ankara is considering joining a coalition including Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
