Two Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Amid Accusations of Undermining De-escalation Efforts

Two people were killed on Tuesday in airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation on the towns of Kafardounin and Ghazieh in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The strikes destroyed a three-story building and sparked fires in the industrial zone near Sidon.
President Joseph Aoun said the continued Israeli attacks aim to undermine local and international efforts to contain the escalation.

The attacks come on the eve of a meeting of the committee tasked with monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.
