At least five people were killed and two were reported missing as tropical storm Fengshen swept across the Philippines, triggering floods and landslides.

Local officials said the victims belonged to one family in Quezon Province after a tree fell on their home.

Thousands were forced to flee from central islands such as Samar and Panay, with authorities warning of continued heavy rains.
