Typhoon Ragasa disrupted transportation in southern Taiwan on Monday, forcing the cancellation of flights and ferry services to remote islands.

The Central Weather Bureau said the storm would approach the south by noon Monday and continue affecting the area through Tuesday.

Authorities warned of floods and landslides in mountainous regions, while municipalities took precautionary steps to evacuate residents from some coastal areas.
