Morocco’s U-20 national team continued its impressive run at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, defeating five-time champion Brazil 2-1 on Wednesday in Chile to secure a spot in the Round of 16.
The Atlas Cubs had opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Spain and now top their group with six points from two matches, ahead of Mexico (two points), whom they will face in the final group-stage match on Saturday.
After a goalless first half, Morocco took the lead in the 60th minute through a spectacular acrobatic strike from Watford’s Osman Maama. Yassir Zubairi doubled the advantage in the 76th minute with a powerful left-footed shot, building on his goal-scoring performance against Spain in the opening match
