The United States added four more International Criminal Court officials to its sanctions list on Wednesday, including French judge Nicolas Guillou, Canadian judge Kimberly Prost, Fijian prosecutor Nazhat Shameem Khan, and Senegalese prosecutor Mame Mandiaye Niang.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the move builds on previous sanctions against Prosecutor Karim Khan and four other judges.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the decision, calling it “a decisive move against the smear campaign” after ICC arrest warrants were issued against him and former defense minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank.
