U.S. Moves to Recover Unexploded Israeli Bomb from Lebanon, Fearing Russian or Chinese Access

The United States has urgently requested that Lebanon return an unexploded GBU-39 bomb previously dropped by Israel on Beirut, Israeli media reported.

The bomb, used days earlier by the Israeli military in an operation targeting Hezbollah commander Haitham Ali Al-Tabtabaei, failed to detonate. Lebanese reports cited U.S. concerns that the device could fall into Russian or Chinese hands.
