U.S. officials said Friday that the Treasury Department is considering issuing a $1 coin featuring former President Donald Trump to commemorate the country’s 250th Independence anniversary.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reposted a message from Treasurer Brandon Beach on X, showing preliminary designs of the commemorative coin.

Beach shared draft images of the coin, saying he looks forward to revealing more “once the U.S. government shutdown ends.”

One of the proposed designs features Trump’s portrait on the coin’s obverse, while the reverse shows him raising his fist before an American flag, alongside the phrase “Fight, Fight, Fight.”
