U.S. Warns of Sanctions on Those Dealing with Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan

The United States warned that individuals or entities conducting transactions with the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan could face sanctions.

The U.S. Department of State said the group has been designated a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist” entity, with plans to classify it as a Foreign Terrorist Organization as well.

It added that financial dealings or other activities with the group could expose those involved to secondary sanctions under U.S. counterterrorism laws.
