The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Friday the complete return of all its armed forces from Yemen, according to a statement reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The ministry stated that the withdrawal of all personnel was carried out “in implementation of the announced decision to end the remaining counter-terrorism missions, ensuring the safety of personnel and in coordination with relevant partners,” according to the statement.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the ministry had announced the conclusion of the UAE’s counter-terrorism missions in Yemen in light of the rapidly evolving developments in the country.
