Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi announced the launch of its new “K2 Think” model, marking the UAE’s strong entry into the low-cost AI model race.

Despite its smaller parameter size compared to competitors like DeepSeek and OpenAI, its developers assert that its performance rivals larger models in logical reasoning and complex problem-solving, describing it as “a new class of logical thinking models.”
