Brazil is set to host the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in the coastal city of Belém, in the Amazon region, from November 10 to 21. The summit aims to bring together dozens of heads of state and government to coordinate global action against the climate crisis.
The conference faces major challenges, including the previous withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Agreement, putting pressure on other nations to uphold and advance their climate commitments.
The agenda includes reviewing the UNFCCC synthesis report to assess countries’ adherence to their climate pledges, alongside discussions on adaptation indicators and mitigation strategies to keep global warming below 2°C.
Brazil also plans to introduce an innovative financing mechanism, the “Tropical Forests Forever Fund” (TFFF), to support forest conservation and biodiversity protection, following its announcement in September to invest $1 billion in the fund.

Media company Total Media Cast will provide extensive live coverage from the event, including television broadcasts, digital content, and multilingual reporting, aiming to deliver a comprehensive view of the conference proceedings and raise global awareness on sustainability and climate issues.
