The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said Israeli occupation forces threw grenades Thursday near its troops working with the Lebanese army in Maroun al-Ras to protect civilians.

It confirmed that Israeli drones dropped munitions less than 20 meters from its soldiers.

UNIFIL called on the occupation to immediately halt any attacks on peacekeepers or Lebanese civilians, warning of the risks of escalation for southern Lebanon’s security and its mission’s stability.
