The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the deaths of four U.S. soldiers in combat operations related to the war in Iran, adding that another soldier died of his wounds.

It also reported that three F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets crashed over Kuwait, suggesting the incident may have resulted from friendly fire.
