The network reported that the third carrier group is preparing to cross the Atlantic Ocean and join the ongoing conflict involving Iran, with the deployment of the USS George H.W. Bush expected soon.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post reported that the 82nd Airborne Division could also be sent to the Middle East as the conflict with Iran expands.

Currently, the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is operating in the area of the US-Israeli military operations against Iran, while the second carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, is positioned in the Red Sea.
