U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said talks with Iran in Geneva had gone “well in some respects,” adding that Washington would continue efforts to push Tehran to accept what he described as U.S. “red lines.”
Speaking in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Vance said President Donald Trump had “many options” regarding negotiations with Iran.
“We have a very strong military, and the president has shown his willingness to use it. He also has an exceptional diplomatic team and has shown his willingness to use that as well,” Vance said.
He stressed that the United States has specific red lines, foremost among them preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
There was no immediate comment from Iranian officials on Vance’s remarks.
