Venezuelan authorities said that the US attack on Venezuela, which ended with the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro in the capital Caracas, resulted in the deaths of at least 100 people, in addition to a similar number of wounded.
The authorities also revealed that Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were injured during the arrest operation, without providing further details about their medical condition.
Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said that Cilia Flores “suffered a head injury and was struck on her body,” while President Maduro “was wounded in the leg,” adding that both are in stable condition and recovering from their injuries.
