Fierce clashes erupted Friday in the eastern city of Lahore between police and thousands of supporters of the Islamist Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) party during protests against Israel following the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Police said 50 officers were injured in the violence, while the TLP announced the deaths of several of its members.
Security forces fired tear gas and used batons to disperse protesters, who responded by throwing stones before marching toward the capital, Islamabad.
