A senior U.S. official confirmed that President Donald Trump will not meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his upcoming visit to South Korea, despite media speculation about a potential encounter.

The official said the meeting “is not on the schedule,” but noted that Trump remains open to future talks “under the right conditions.”

The two leaders met three times between 2018 and 2019 without achieving lasting diplomatic progress.
