The White House announced the creation of a “Peace Council” led by U.S. President Donald Trump to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction during the transitional period, with a technocratic committee headed by Palestinian Ali Shaath assigned to manage civil affairs.

The council appointed a high representative and commander of an international stabilization force, along with U.S. advisers, to coordinate operations.

Israeli Occupation later rejected the council’s composition due to the involvement of Turkish and Qatari figures, insisting Gaza’s future must be determined “in full coordination” with Israel and saying the move conflicts with its policy.
