White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said on Friday that the United States is steadily moving toward controlling Iranian airspace, adding that Washington expects to achieve its attainable objectives within four to six weeks.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Leavitt said ongoing US operations are progressing as planned, with current assessments indicating that key objectives could be completed within that timeframe.

She also said the United States is reviewing potential candidates to lead Iran, a day after President Donald Trump told Reuters in an interview that Washington should be involved in choosing Iran’s next leader.

“I know there are a number of individuals that US intelligence agencies and the government are looking at,” Leavitt said, adding that she could not provide further details on the matter.
