WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom warned on Sunday that 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant or breastfeeding women in Gaza could suffer acute malnutrition by April 2026, calling progress against famine “extremely fragile.”
A UN report noted that 1.6 million people face acute food insecurity, with improvements since the October ceasefire, but urged the urgent provision of medical supplies, as only 50% of facilities operate partially.
