Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Vladimir Putin’s trip to Alaska to meet Donald Trump “is a victory for the Kremlin,” adding that “the meeting on American soil boosts Putin’s status and breaks his isolation.”

Zelensky added that the meeting delays potential U.S. sanctions on Russia and will encourage Russia to seize more Ukrainian territory instead of preparing to end the war.
