Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrives in Washington on Thursday for an official visit, with talks scheduled on Friday with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the potential provision of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, a senior Ukrainian official told AFP.

Separately, a senior White House official confirmed to AFP that President Trump is expected to hold a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, ahead of Zelensky’s White House meeting, during which the Ukrainian leader is expected to request the delivery of Tomahawk missiles to bolster his country’s defense capabilities.
