Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that a Russian drone caused damage to the building of Qatar’s embassy during an attack on the capital, Kyiv.

In a post on Telegram, Zelenskyy noted that Qatar has been playing a key role in mediating talks with Russia, particularly regarding prisoner-of-war exchanges.

Russia launched a series of overnight strikes across Ukraine late Thursday into Friday, with authorities reporting at least four people killed in Kyiv, in addition to a hypersonic missile attack in the western part of the country.
